IVF Care at Open Fertility
Expert IVF care, designed to be more accessible.
Open Fertility was created by the fertility experts behind Spring Fertility for patients who meet specific clinical criteria and may not need the most intensive fertility-care model.
You’ll receive experienced fertility care, access to Spring’s advanced IVF laboratories and embryology expertise, and reproductive endocrinologist involvement at the moments that matter most — within a focused model designed to make IVF more accessible.
What Is IVF?
In vitro fertilization, or IVF, is a fertility treatment in which eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized with sperm in an embryology laboratory. Resulting embryos can then be transferred to the uterus or frozen for future use.
IVF can help address many different barriers to pregnancy because it allows your care team to support several important steps in the reproductive process — from egg development and fertilization through embryo development and transfer.
At Open, we’ve designed the IVF experience specifically for patients who are well suited to a focused, team-based model of care.

What Makes IVF at Open Fertility Different?
Open was created by fertility experts who understand IVF deeply enough to know which elements are essential to excellent care—and where the right patient may benefit from a more focused approach.
A Dedicated Clinical Team
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including nurse practitioners and physician associates, play a central role in your care. They prepare you for treatment, monitor your cycle, answer questions, and follow your progress.
Fertility Physicians Where They Matter Most
Spring Fertility reproductive endocrinologists perform egg retrievals and embryo transfers.
Spring Laboratory Expertise
Your IVF treatment is supported by Spring Fertility’s advanced laboratories and experienced embryology teams.
Designed for a Defined Patient Population
Open isn’t intended to be the right model for every fertility patient. It was purpose-built for patients who meet specific clinical criteria and are well positioned to benefit from this approach.
Is Open IVF Right for Me?
Open Fertility offers IVF and egg freezing for patients who meet specific clinical criteria, including:
Generally under age 43
Ovarian reserve and overall health appropriate for treatment
Medical histories compatible with our focused care model
First-time IVF patients, as well as some patients with previous unsuccessful cycles following clinical review
Already gone through fertility testing or IUI?
Many patients come to Open after spending time trying other approaches and are ready to move forward with IVF — particularly when insurance benefits have been exhausted or IVF coverage is limited.
How Does Open Fertility Make IVF More Accessible?
Open Fertility was designed around the belief that clinical expertise and personal attention should not require a price tag that puts treatment out of reach. The care model prioritizes transparency, physician-led procedures, and a streamlined process that keeps quality high and costs down.
1. Lower Costs
Open Fertility offers transparent self-pay pricing with no surprise fees. See our full pricing page for current cycle costs.
2. Innovative Care Model
Your IVF cycle at Open Fertility is managed by a dedicated APP (Advanced Practice Provider), in collaboration with the medical director, a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, who oversees your protocol, medications, and monitoring and performs all procedures. This model allows us to provide high-quality, personalized care at a lower cost.
3. Convenient Locations
We offer IVF at our clinics in Astoria, NY, Roseville, CA, and Danville, CA. Consultations and monitoring take place at your local Open Fertility clinic. Procedures are performed within Spring Fertility’s state-of-the-art surgical and embryology centers, giving patients access to world-class laboratory expertise and physician-led care.
Why Does Open Cost Less?
Lower cost doesn’t have to mean lesser medicine.
Traditional fertility practices are designed to accommodate an enormous range of patient needs and clinical complexity. Some patients require highly individualized treatment and significant physician involvement throughout their cycle.
Some don’t.
Open was purpose-built for a more defined group of patients.
That allows us to create efficiencies in how care is delivered while preserving the expertise that matters most — experienced fertility clinicians, reproductive endocrinologists, embryology expertise and advanced IVF laboratories.
That focus is what helps make Open more accessible.
Not cutting corners.
Not reducing the importance of your care.
Simply designing it differently for patients who are appropriate for the model.
How IVF Works at Open
Starting IVF is a significant step, and understanding what each phase involves can make the process feel more manageable. Here is how your cycle unfolds, from your first consultation through embryo transfer at our partner lab.
Coming From IUI?
For some patients, IUI is an important first treatment.
But after multiple unsuccessful IUIs — or after fertility insurance benefits have been partially or fully used — continuing the same path may no longer make sense.
IVF gives your clinical team greater visibility and control over several steps in the reproductive process and may be the appropriate next treatment for some patients.
Open does not offer IUI.
We do welcome patients who are ready to understand whether moving from IUI to IVF makes sense for them.

Fertility Insurance?
Do the Math.
Having fertility benefits doesn’t always mean IVF is fully covered.
Deductibles, coinsurance, authorization requirements, cycle limits and lifetime maximums can all affect what you ultimately pay.
And some patients reach IVF after using a significant portion of their fertility benefits on testing or earlier treatment.
For the right patient, Open’s transparent self-pay pricing may offer another option.
