A ride home is required after egg retrieval due to anesthesia, and most patients return to work the following day.

Your embryos are stored at Spring Fertility’s state-of-the-art embryology laboratory, where your egg retrieval takes place. How long can embryos stay frozen?
Embryo freezing has been performed since the 1980s. Open Fertility has seen births from embryos cryopreserved for more than 10 years, and sperm cryopreservation has produced successful outcomes from samples frozen for as long as 19 years. Clinical experience beyond 10 to 15 years remains limited.
Does Open Fertility offer IUI?
Open Fertility does not currently offer IUI. Patients interested in IUI can seamlessly continue their care with Spring Fertility, where intrauterine insemination is available. Your Open Fertility care team will coordinate your referral to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care.
Can single individuals or LGBTQ+ patients do IVF at Open Fertility?
