Open Fertility: A Year in Review

Alex Myron

The past year marked a meaningful chapter for Open Fertility and the families we serve. From opening our first clinic doors to celebrating our first confirmed IVF pregnancy, 2025 brought milestones that reflect our commitment to making fertility care accessible and affordable.

Our team, built on the expertise of Spring Fertility’s world-class physicians, set out to change how people experience reproductive medicine. We wanted to remove the financial and geographic barriers that keep so many from pursuing their dreams of building a family. We’re proud to share these highlights and reflect on what 2025 meant for our growing community.

Opening Our Doors: Two Clinics, Two Coasts

Open Fertility launched in 2025 with a clear purpose: bring high-quality, affordable fertility care closer to home. Our inaugural clinic in Roseville, CA opened its doors to serve Northern California families seeking a more affordable approach to reproductive care. The response from the Sacramento-area community validated what we believed all along. Patients deserve transparency, compassion and access to advanced treatments without the traditional price tag.

Building on that momentum, we expanded to the East Coast with our Astoria, NY location in Queens. This clinic brings affordable IVF and egg freezing services to one of the most diverse communities in the country.

What both locations offer:

  • Affordable fertility treatments at a fraction of traditional clinic costs
  • Transparent pricing with no hidden fees or surprise bills
  • Patient-centered care from a compassionate clinical team
  • Expert oversight from board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists
  • A welcoming environment designed to put patients at ease

Queens residents now have a local, affordable option for fertility care that prioritizes their needs and respects their budgets.

Celebrating Our First IVF Pregnancy

One milestone stands out as a defining moment for our team and mission. Open Fertility celebrated our first confirmed FIV pregnancy in 2025. This achievement represents more than a medical outcome. It reflects the trust a patient placed in our affordable care model and the dedication of every team member who supported her path to parenthood.

Here is what our first patient shared about her experience:

Our experience working with the entire Open Fertility team was fantastic! From the care coordinators, the office team, financial advisors, our technicians, nurses and doctors, each team member took the time to answer every question, discuss all options and make the scary and uncertain journey of IVF much more manageable.

When asked about the most significant moment during treatment, she reflected: “Aside from receiving the call that our beta tests showed a positive pregnancy, I look back fondly of the scanning appointments with the great Open team throughout the process. The team was so great at maintaining a wonderful positive attitude each visit and taking the time to really make sure I understood each step of the IVF process.”

Her advice for others considering fertility care: “I encourage anyone seeking fertility care or considering IVF to take the first step and make the call to learn more about the process and understand the various ways you and your partner might be able to afford fertility care or IVF with Open Fertility.

Hearing that feedback reminded us why we started Open Fertility in the first place. Every patient who walks through our doors deserves that same level of attention and compassion at a price they can afford. We look forward to celebrating many more success stories as our community grows.

Making Fertility Care More Affordable

The cost of fertility treatment remains a significant barrier for millions of people. The national average for IVF in the United States sits around $25,000 per attempt. That figure puts family building out of reach for many individuals and couples who could benefit from these services. Open Fertility was founded to address this affordability gap directly.

What our care model delivered in 2025:

  • Open Fertility providers managed patient care from initial consultation through monitoring and treatment planning, building continuity that patients noticed in their feedback.
  • Board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists performed all procedures at our partner lab, Spring Fertility, with the same expertise patients expect from higher-priced programs.
  • Patients completed treatment with fewer office visits than a traditional IVF cycle requires, reducing both time away from work and out-of-pocket costs.
  • Transparent pricing meant no surprise bills. Patients knew their costs before starting treatment, and that clarity built trust throughout the process.

Making affordability even more accessible:

We partnered with PatientFi to offer financing options that make treatment more manageable. Spreading costs over time helps patients move forward without the stress of paying everything upfront. Transparent pricing means patients know what to expect before they begin, and that clarity builds trust throughout the process. Affordability should never be an afterthought in fertility care. At Open Fertility, it drives everything we do.

Serving All Paths to Parenthood

Open Fertility proudly supports patients across all family-building paths with the same commitment to affordability and compassion. OurLGBTQ+ family planning services welcome same-sex couples, transgender individuals and anyone seeking inclusive reproductive care.

Affordable options for every family structure:

  • Reciprocal IVF for couples who want both partners involved in pregnancy
  • Donor sperm coordination with access to certified sperm banks
  • Fertility preservation for transgender individuals before transition
  • Egg freezing for those planning for future family building

Single individuals pursuing parenthood also find a supportive, affordable home at Open Fertility. We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate fertility care regardless of relationship status, gender identity or sexual orientation. Our team approaches every consultation with respect for the unique circumstances each patient brings.

What’s Ahead: Growing Into 2026

The momentum from 2025 carries us into an exciting new chapter. Open Fertility announced plans to open a third location in Denver, CO in fall 2026. This expansion brings our affordable care model to the Mountain West region, reaching even more families who need accessible fertility services. The Denver clinic at 1900 Lawrence St will be led by Dr. Natalia Grob, a Reproductive Endocrinologist joining the Open Fertility team as provider and Site Director.

Our vision for continued growth:

  • Bring affordable fertility care to new regions across the country
  • Maintain the same transparent pricing and patient-centered approach at every location
  • Reach more families who have been priced out of traditional fertility clinics
  • Continue proving that affordability and quality can coexist in reproductive medicine

Denver represents another step toward our larger goal. We want patients across the country to have a real, affordable option for quality fertility treatment without financial hardship. As we grow, our commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care remains unchanged.

If you have been considering fertility treatment, we invite you to explore what Open Fertility offers. Schedule an appointment at our Roseville or Astoria location to meet with our team. We would be honored to support you on your path to affordable, accessible parenthood.

What services does Open Fertility offer?

Open Fertility provides IVF, egg freezing and LGBTQ+ family planning services. All surgical procedures, including egg retrievals and embryo transfers, are performed by board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists at Spring Fertility’s partner laboratory facilities. Patients can also access fertility consultations, ovarian stimulation monitoring and preimplantation genetic screening (PGS). Full pricing for each service is published on the pricing page.

How does Open Fertility keep costs lower than traditional clinics?

Open Fertility’s IVF cycle starts at $9,174, compared to a $25,000 national average. Fewer required office visits and streamlined protocols reduce overhead, and those savings pass directly to patients. PatientFi financing is available for patients who prefer to spread costs over time.
