Open Fertility Celebrates First Pregnant IVF Patient

Last month, we celebrated a huge milestone at Open Fertility: our first confirmed pregnancy through IVF.

This is a testament to the hard work and dedication our Open Fertility team gives to each and every patient throughout the treatment process, and speaks to the trust our patients place in us to help them build the family of their dreams by delivering compassionate, quality fertility care. Moments like these are the “why” behind everything we do, and what we dreamed of when opening the first Open Fertility clinic in Roseville, California earlier this year.

We’re honored to get to celebrate this pregnancy, and all those to come, alongside our patients; we connected with them to reflect on their IVF experience at Open and offer insight to others who may be navigating a fertility diagnosis and seeking fertility care.

Here’s what they had to share:

What did your fertility journey look like prior to becoming a patient at Open? 

Navigating the journey of fertility and pregnancy loss was incredibly overwhelming and confusing before we began our IVF journey with Open.

How did you end up finding Open Fertility, and deciding we were the right clinic for you?

We were lucky enough to be recommended to Open Fertility by the Spring Fertility team. Open Fertility’s client-focused approach, responsiveness and warm team made the decision to proceed with Open Fertility easy!

What was your experience working with your Open Fertility team? What did that process look like?

Our experience working with the entire Open Fertility team was fantastic! From the care coordinators, the office team, financial advisors, our technicians, nurses and doctors, each team member took the time to answer every question, discuss all options and make the scary and uncertain journey of IVF much more manageable. 

What was the most significant moment or memory for you during your IVF journey with Open?

We are exceptionally lucky to currently be pregnant after completing IVF with Open Fertility, so aside from receiving the call that our beta tests showed a positive pregnancy, I look back fondly of the scanning appointments with the great Open team throughout the process. The team was so great at maintaining a wonderful positive attitude each visit and taking the time to really make sure I understood each step of the IVF process. 

Do you have any advice for anyone seeking fertility care, or considering IVF to build their family?

I encourage anyone seeking fertility care or considering IVF to take the first step and make the call to learn more about the process and understand the various ways you and your partner might be able to afford fertility care or IVF with Open Fertility.  

As you begin your pregnancy, how are you feeling about the path you took to get here? Is there anything you wish you could go back and tell yourself when you were just beginning the process?

My husband and I are incredibly thankful each day of this pregnancy for the opportunity to work with the Open Fertility team to grow our family.
