Affording Fertility Care

Open Fertility Team

Fertility treatment is a significant investment, and understanding what you may pay before starting care matters.

At Open Fertility, we use a focused care model designed to make IVF and egg freezing more accessible for eligible patients with relatively straightforward medical histories. Our goal is to make the financial side of treatment easier to understand, with current pricing and package details available in one place.

For current treatment costs, what is included, and location-specific pricing, visit our pricing page.

How IVF Pricing Works at Open Fertility

IVF treatment can involve several different cost components. Depending on your treatment plan and location, these may include:

  • Monitoring bloodwork and ultrasounds
  • Egg retrieval
  • Anesthesia
  • Fertilization and embryo culture
  • ICSI, if applicable
  • Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), if applicable
  • Embryo cryopreservation
  • Storage
  • Embryo transfer
  • Medications
  • Outside laboratory services when applicable

Not every patient needs every service, and not every service is included in every treatment package. That is why we recommend reviewing the current Open Fertility pricing page and your individualized cost estimate before beginning treatment.

How Egg Freezing Pricing Works

Egg freezing also involves several separate components, which may include:

  • Monitoring bloodwork and ultrasound
  • Egg retrieval
  • Anesthesia
  • Cryopreservation of mature eggs
  • Storage
  • Medications
  • Additional testing when clinically appropriate

Pricing can differ by location and by what is included in the treatment package.

Why Open Fertility Costs Less

Open Fertility costs less because the care model was intentionally designed differently for a more defined patient population.

Open uses a focused, team-based model that matches the right expertise to each stage of treatment:

  • Experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associates support monitoring and ongoing care
  • They work in collaboration with board-certified physicians
  • Spring Fertility reproductive endocrinologists perform egg retrievals and embryo transfers
  • Open patients benefit from Spring Fertility’s IVF laboratory and embryology expertise

The lower price comes from how the model is structured—not from compromising the science or expertise behind treatment.

A different care model. Established fertility expertise.

What Open Fertility Focuses On

Open Fertility focuses on IVF and egg freezing for eligible patients with relatively straightforward medical histories.

Open can also support reciprocal IVF for eligible female partners.

Open does not offer IUI, standalone fertility testing, donor egg programs, gestational carrier programs, or the full range of third-party reproduction services.

Patients who need broader diagnostic evaluation, complex fertility care, donor egg, gestational carrier services, or other third-party reproduction support may be better served by Spring Fertility.

Insurance or Self-Pay?

Using fertility insurance is not always automatically the least expensive or most practical option.

Your actual out-of-pocket cost can depend on:

  • Deductibles
  • Coinsurance
  • Medication coverage
  • Treatment limits
  • Lifetime maximums
  • Remaining fertility benefits
  • Authorization requirements
  • Benefit reset timing

For some patients, self-pay may be simpler, more predictable, or more affordable. For others, insurance may still be the better choice.

Before deciding, compare your actual insurance responsibility with the current self-pay pricing available to you.

Financing Options

Open Fertility partners with PatientFi to provide financing options for eligible patients.

If you are considering financing treatment, review the total amount financed, interest, repayment terms, and any services that may still be billed separately.

Medication costs may be separate from the treatment package and can vary based on your treatment plan, dosage, and pharmacy. Review the current pricing page and your individualized cost estimate for details specific to your care.

Preimplantation genetic testing is not part of every IVF treatment plan. If PGT is recommended or elected, biopsy and outside laboratory fees may apply. Your care team will explain what is included in your treatment estimate.

Yes. Before treatment begins, Open Fertility provides a cost estimate based on your treatment plan. Current self-pay pricing and package details are also available on the pricing page.

Open Fertility uses a self-pay model for treatment. Some outside services may be billed separately depending on the provider and your insurance plan. If you have fertility benefits, compare your expected out-of-pocket costs with Open’s self-pay option before deciding which path makes the most sense for you.
